About the event
Create colorful patchwork flags designed to flutter proudly from bikes, backpacks, bedrooms, windows, studios, or anywhere that could use a little extra movement, visibility, and joy. During this playful textile activation, participants will combine fabric scraps, trims, ribbons, and embellishments to build tiny banners that feel deeply personal, celebratory, and expressive.
Inspired by themes of visibility, movement, community, and self-expression, these miniature flags can function as bike adornments, soft sculptures, symbolic markers, or simply cheerful objects made to catch the wind.
Guests are encouraged to experiment with layering, stitching, gluing, fraying, decorating, and improvising — embracing the beauty of patchwork both as a visual language and as a reflection of collective creativity.
