Summer Intensives In Art & Design at Mass Art

Summer Intensives helps students entering grades 10-12 explore their creativity and expand their artistic practice. These two week studio classes are designed for students looking to develop their portfolio, expand their skills, or dive into a new medium or artform.

Felting Discover the wonders of wool. Over the course of two weeks, students will explore wet felting, felt painting, needle felting and wool blending. This class will cover traditional techniques, as well as experimental and sustainable processes. Students will develop confidence in this unique artform. No experience necessary.

Summer 2024 class fee: $960 per on campus class

Payment is due in full by June 3.

Registration  Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served and space available basis. Submission of a registration form does not guarantee enrollment in a class. If you submit a registration form and your preferred classes are full, you will be placed on the waiting list and notified as soon as possible if a space becomes available.

Scholarships Scholarships are based on financial need and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please indicate on your registration form if you would like to request a scholarship. To be considered, you will be asked to provide your annual household income, and the number of individuals that income supports.
