Bedazzle Your Photograph

Transform photographs into layered mixed-media artworks through stitching, sparkle, collage, and playful embellishment during this expressive drop-in activation at The Shiny Shop. Participants are invited to reimagine portraits, snapshots, found imagery, and printed memories using embroidery thread, rhinestones, collage materials, and decorative details that blur the line between photography, storytelling, and textile art.

Bring a favorite printed photograph from home, family snapshots, travel images, silly moments, forgotten pictures, pet portraits, or treasured memories. There is also the option to explore imagery available within the shop to experiment freely.

Guests can stitch directly into photographs, layer textures and paper elements, add bursts of sparkle, obscure and reveal imagery, or create beautifully chaotic visual narratives that celebrate memory, transformation, humor, and personal expression.

This activation embraces imperfection, experimentation, and the emotional magic that happens when images are physically altered by hand.
